Some of the bits on it seem newish though don't they?

Makes you laugh though, all the cars released since that losi, and clearly no "game changers" yet!

Steering system is different as is the front and rear suspension mount (I think).

The XXX4 is a very competent car on smooth surfaces, but that changes when it gets rough...

Looks like all us that bought the Trf502x wasted our money. I actually really like my 502x but looks like the big T is going back to belts.

I'm not sure I'd say it's wasted money, Lee got a very good result at the Reedy race, think that was with the 502 wasn't it!?

The team guys will run the car they feel is most likely to win I guess, and at the moment looks like that's the 511, doesn't mean Tamiya are going back to belts though, who knows what they'll make next! After all, don't know about you guys, but I never expected a 502 shaft drive in the first place

Anyway, for now I'm sticking with the 502, may change my mind though!

Cheers Dave I feel a little bit better now lol. As I stated previously I really like the 502 and won't be changing it at the moment.

All The Swedish Tamiya drivers run the 511 but there were some 502 driver there to but none of them are at that level like those guys in The finals. From what I could tell the 502 did very well for them selves and it handled The slippery surrface very well. So anyone thinking they made the wrong choise can relax. A very good car

like I said in another thread, since team drivers have been using the 502, they have been going backwards. Funny how Lee questioned me about this remark, yet nearly ALL team members are back to the 511.

what have you got to say about it now Mr Martin?

Also remember that the 511 may be quick in the hands of top drivers, but I find myself faster with the 502 over the 511. What suits them might not necessarily suit us. Also these guys have got years of experience with their 511's, it may take a while to switch to the 502, plus they haven't got the JTbitz steering link. Lol

For now, the 502 is still a very capable car and shouldn't be dismissed. If the car works for you, that's all you can ask for.

Who cares what team drivers are using. So if Lee and other top drivers were winning with the 502 then it would be the best thing since sliced bread. So fickle. Any way it's not all about the car it's how good a driver you are.
