Thanks
Looks very similar , shall order one and try

I tried the zx5 with servo saver but takes up too much room, the blue item stops bump steer and youll need a kimbrough servo saver and its superb.

Think I have the parts you are after apart from the thrust bearing and balls for spur gear. some are new ( parts the la11 pulleys slide onto) but the rest are used. ......is it the whole drive assembly from a zx layshaft?. I will have a look what I have some point this week.
I dug out the layshaft assembly, I have the regular rear one-way, a front drive hub, la-11 pulleys and a thrust bearing. Other than that I only have one la-3 thrust plate whereas two are needed along with the la-5 parts

How many of them will be useful in a zxr?

Look at OTW114

Dan, Are you still in the need of LA-3 and LA-5?

Ok I have had a look through what I have and found a bnip law-4 Rear drive hub ( reverse one way), bnip la-3 thrust plate and a used guide plate .....being alloy it should polish up as new.

Well ive gone and gone one step beyond, got a nice blue alloy drilled vts slipper clutch but now using 4 slipper pads and two slipper plates within the vts. Think its more appropriate considering im getting annoyed with melting my spur gears.

Hehe, problem i had was i had very little track time and everything that could go wrong did (servo case broke, ujs popped out of rear twice, melted gear and overheating) and the spur shouldnt have happened so opted for another slipper pad and a metal surround to dissapate the heat better

Try ae 93t spur. I find the rw ones are too flexible.

Default Lazer zxr lay shaft

Hi all, couple of questions for you. I've recently picked up a selection of Lazer ZX & ZXR's, one of them has a what looks like a white delrin lay shaft & a different mother mount? (See pictures below)
Wondered if any of you guys know anything about it & is it worth putting in the gearbox of the car I intend to race in iconic classes?

Thats either a wasp or mms layshaft, means car is permanent 4wd. I really doubt that would be up to the job now but Alcyon sells a machined layshaft which works well. With that you can fit an Associated B4 or VTS slipper clutch making the car much easier to drive, was a lot of fun testing and redesigning. Youll need a tensioner on the rear belt and one on the front helps a bit, fibrelyte sell my L brace with the tensioner slot for the tensioner. Fibrelyte in my name tag below does all flat bits, plus upgrades etc so have a look, also they still do the tub chassis, including my design. Kamtec also in my link below if buying the tub can buy the Tomcat shell that looks much better than the zx and r shells or the zxs shell and undertray which is also stunning and was used on this car before the zxs was brought out for testing. Fyi the shells are much stronger than originals. Motor mount is mms and a worthy investment and a geat heat dissapating and i use one.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into the parts you suggested, & crack on with the rebuild.

Thanks again. 👍🏻
