I'm not against features, far from it ... I'm a huge fun of PDA and that is an action packed lap and no mistake! The thing with PDA is that it also flows really well, a credit to Truman et al as track designers.
For me you do need some parts of the track that flow well and the line is the feature or else wheel to wheel 'racing' can't really happen, well thats my opinion anyway.
Part of the reason why I like Kiddy so much is that the surface & elevation changes make up much of the 'freature list', makes it a great place to race. Anyway that isn't really comparing apples with apples, sorry.

The venue looks good, I'm definately going to make it over at some point but have the same problem as Phil, the friday nights in Jan are clashes with other weekend meetings, see you in Feb though

I'm looking at attending on Friday and have a few questions.

1) Do you guys use handout transponders or just PTs?
2) What time are doors open / close as my better half is thinking of visiting friends local to the track and needs to know if it's practical?
3) Which 1/10th class is best supported, 2wd or 4wd?
4) Any limitations (such as rules on charging)etc ?
5) Is mains power available for all?

Thanks, looking forward to it!

Ok, Lipo sack might be an issue to get by Friday ... guess I'll have to run the car with proper cells in then (or charge in the car maybe).

Friday it is ...

I am assuming the 2WD & 4WD run in separate heats but if I booked in for 4wd but wanted to do a run or 2 with the 2wd car that would be fine???

Thanks guys, a really hectic night (crickey do you guys run a fast meeting!!) but lots of fun. Previous fears about the nature of the track were totally unfounded, it worked really nicely. In fact I might go as far as to say that I can't remember visiting an indoor carpet club track that was as well put together.

Some how managed to get through loads of set-up changes during the night too so learned a lot about the FS on carpet which was the aim.

Great to catch up with a few faces I've not seen for a while and overall I had a great time.

I will be back as soon as I can

Default Important Update - Off-Road Club Nights

Important Update - Off-Road Club Nights

Hi all,

Due to the increasing number of racers attending off-road club nights, we will now put a closing time for booking in of 7.15pm, with Rd 1, Heat 1 to start at 7.30pm promptly. This is so we can get everyone out of the hall by the required 10.30pm.

If you know you will be late attending, please feel free to contact the club secretary in advance, or let a friend know you will be attending, so we can get you booked into the computer in time. The club is also reviewing its booking in procedure to try and speed the process up as well. We appreciate your co-operation, and hope to see you trackside!

Thanks
