My db01 one way has been modified to fit my car.
It has been like this for an entire season, the pulley is very snug and
is not wobbly or loose. Rubber servo spacers on the back, cut off
some df03 shock pistons, and bam! It works perfectly. If you do
this mod, make sure to threadlock the futaba servo screws in the pulley.
This trick I pulled off successfully last year and my car has been like that
ever since. Dont tighten the screws all the way down just enough to
see the screw barley sticking out of the one way.
I had to do this mod because the 501x one way my local shop couldnt get it in. So I had no choice but to do this mod. The pulley is a 36 tooth TA-05 one way pulley.

A real tough trick to do but the third pick below is the direction it goes in the front. The belt fits inside the pulley
correctly when installed in this direction. I must be either really smart to figure this out, or just dumb luck...

I dont classify this as bad information. It has worked great for me!

I have a 501X one-way assembly for sale if you're interested. You just need the one-way pulley and one-way adapter (54006).

I use the Tamiya springs as the spring rates available suite the track I use (blue - front, yellow - rear). Both AE & Tamiya springs are perfectly good. Just use the ones that give you the spring rate you need for the setup and track that you use.

I have the Tekin Redline 5.5 in my 511 and it is a great motor. Never struggles, great speed and response. I am surprised they are not more widely used here in the UK.

I have other 501x stuff to purchase at the local shop right now.
Later on I'll let you know. My 511 body, undertray, and 511 wing set comes
in tuesday next week. They had to "special order" the 511 stuff for me.
