Default 14th April Surrey and Hants

Well now that the list is partially up we can start planning/shopping ready to start the season.

Having not raced on the Surrey and Hants track I was wondering what tyres people are going for on their 2WD SC?

Also whats the deal with the facilities? Can I bring my caravan on the Saturday and stay on site overnight?

SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS YEAR, ITS GOING TO BE FUN

I ran minipins last year on my blitz as it is a very high grip track, the fact sheet should be on the website before the meeting

As money is tight, as you all know, to get some details a little sooner so I can budget for stuff i might or might not need. Which compound mini pins did you use?

Default Camping Et el...

Hi Guys,

No camping on site alas.

Best place to camp is Mychett Canal Centre about 3 miles away. Cafe on site too

As for tyres, Kourse Kings seem to be the best in all weathers.

If dry, yellows all round will still work.

I liked my truck with a bit of under steer and ran blue minipins on the rear and proline calibers on the front

I know Dudders has said kourse kings but I've run them once and found them vy unpredictable. I currently have a few set ups to try which includes:

Silver mini spikes - rear
Blue mini spikes - front
Yellow mini spikes - all round
Dboots multibyte - a compound
Plus the obligatory KK's

I know we have a race meet for trucks on the 7th and I think there might be a free practise session at some point in February so I'm happy to report back how my 22SCT goes on each set as I play around with them if you like?

proline bullseyes all round every track! used to run m3 all round and it gives a very good feel, little on the twitchy side but thats how ya race a truck!
yellow mini spikes all round works well but if it gets to much then just put blues on the front, calms it down nicely!
or you could put a 5.5 motor in,that way the front wheels never touch the floor so it wont matter anyway!!
