Default question about the clutch bell on my car...

Ive just bought a Hyper 7 .21 engine for my hong nor x1cr to replace the broken force .32 engine i had. I used the fly wheel and clutch bell off my old engine on my new 1.

When the clutch bell is I cant screw the retaining screw all the way in the end to hold it in place because it locks up the bell because its tight against the bearing, if i dont fasten it all the way in the bell does move but it starts to work its way off and the bell itself starts to come off, is there any way of getting round this? can i get a shorter clutch bell?

Hope that makes sence

You need a set of these:

The black washers next to the screws at the top of the picture are like top-hat spacers, and effectively make the crankshaft longer, so the screw does not pinch the bearings.

Hi Mate,

How many shims have you put behind the fly wheel? If none then you'll need to get some shims that fit inside the clutch bearings inner race, and space it out until you have got 0.3 -0.7mm end float.
