Track preparation - your help is needed!
We need help on Saturday (26 March) from 1 pm onwards to get the track ready for outdoor racing. Please come along - dressed appropriately for the job - not your best gear!
If you have a water carrier then please fill it and bring it with you - access to water is difficult for us.
We have a couple of spades, sweeping brushes, etc (not sure what it will be like in the container after the last flood) but if you have anything that you feel would be appropriate - old cloths for wwashing down, power sprays etc bring them along - the more we have the better.
We will have tins of red and white paint (and hopefully disposable gloves as some of us are really messy when painting) and will bring paint brushes - lots of painting to do so as many volunteers needed as possible.
We will have our 1st meeting on Sunday 3 April (Mother's Day) - we are aware that other things are happening that day and it may not be a busy meeting but we are going to use that Sunday to make sure that all the equipment is working and that we are well prepared for the outdoor series of events.
Race fees at this meeting will be free for anyone that has helped on the Track Preparation day (I do mean that has helped and not that has simply turned up and chatted with everyone else but not actually done any work) - anyone else the fee will be £5 (under 13s will still be £3).
