Default LRP 5300 lipo in Cat S1 Composite?

Has anyone ever tried the LRP 5300 LiPo in the S1 Composite LiPo Cat SX? Does the specifically shaped batterystrap fits well with the battery? Does anyone have any pictures?

Thanks, Chris

Default LRP 5300

I have just fitted a 5300 in my S! SX. I have fitted it upside down as you can with the lrp lipo. The unly snag was the left bottom battery lump is a tight fit near the pullys. Now I am not saying you should do this but I have carefully trimmed down the lug off the case. The lugs are hollow so it does leave a hole. I was very carefull when doing this !! And I have fiber taped over the hole ! I then glued the lipo retainers as usual to the underside. But the alternative is to drill holes in the chassis so they sit in properly ? So its either chassis or one lug.

Not posotive on this.. but i think it's against the BRCA rules to "modify" the battery case. Dont quote me on that though!

I did same as Bondy with my first one but, after a little thought I fitted a 1015 servo with no spacers and now the batteries fit perfectly between the pulleys. The addition of one of Northy's lipo retainers really seals the deal. No more movement and correct clearance around the pulleys. For the LRP lipo I did need to rub .5mm off the retainer to fit the battery. Think the retainer was designed around the trackpower cells. Took less than a minute so no issue really. BRCA dont allow any tampering with lipo casings whatsoever!
