Default 502X battery Tray V2

Hi Fredrik and fellow Oopler's,

I have just fitted a 502X Lipo Tray V2 and shock tower spacers to my 502X from alaste.com (Fredrik). The quality is 2nd to none! Excellent work and communication.

Thank you.

Hi Fredrik,

Any chance you plan to make updated diff covers for those who have purchased the new 511 upgrade kits - your current diff covers are "backwards" now that the belts have been swapped left to right?!

I suppose I could always do my own cut n fix, swap, with some extra lexan and CA glue!

Hi,

I have a question for you... I have some of your parts on my TRF502X and something is still bothering me.

You probably know about the front tower geometry problem. The fact is that the shocks are not working perpendicular to the arms. Would it be possible to produce new shock tower spacers, but angled? so we can order two items and mount them in front and behind of the tower... Do you see what I mean?

On the left, how it is mount now, and on the right how it could be:

The angle could not be enough but it would be better than nothing... Is that a bad idea?

What do you think?

I see what you mean.

But I donīt think it will make any difference really.
As long as there are no binding the shocks I think it is ok.
The shocks should always work perpendicular to the suspension arms, thatīs whatīs important. If not, you need to move the damper tower forward by using spacers behind shock tower or on damper mount.

The spacers I made move the tower forward to avoid binding of the shock. It allows the shock cap to "pivot" around the ball, which it canīt really do in itīs original position.

If you look at the rear tower it is not perpendicular to the suspension arms either due to the anti-squat (angle of suspension arms). So theoretically we have the same problem there.

But I might be wrong.

Top shelf, count me in.

Coincidentally, I cracked (actually just looks like a stress fracture) my rear upper diff cover from you in late December - I was pretty bummed until I realised I need a new one anyway for the upgrade kit!

I look forward to the testing outcomes.
