Default x11 shells wings and other bits

hi if you still have the body and wings im interested

one more question are the x10 and 11 very similar i do have picked up a x10 but its missing front steering links do x11 fit
i also want to get the lipo chassis, from what i can tell theye look the same [apart from the blue bits

if someone could tell be the differences so i can perhaps get some bits, unless anyone has any for sale#

got to say the engineering in the car is really impressive

The X11 steering should fit on the X10 (just looking at the two side by side), although you might want to look at getting the X11 x-brace and front gearbox top.

The two chassis are the same shape, but with holes in different places so lipos will fit in the earlier chassis with no more than a couple of extra holes to drill. The blue bits mean you need quite a few extra parts - at which point you're building an X11, rather than repairing an X10.

I already have the x11 gearbox top but not the x brace is this needed? Does anyone have a diagram of we're to drill the extra holes to make it stick compatable.

The X11 gearbox top lacks the mounting for the suspension and steering pivots, so you have yo have the alloy x-brace if you're going to use it.

You only need to drill one extra 3mm countersunk hole to run the stick pack. To figure out where to put it, the easiest way is to fit a stick pack battery strap to the front mounting hole of the existing saddle pack strap (having removed the posts), and then use the hole at the other end of the strap as a guide for the drill bit.

I must have the cross brace too then as its all fitted. I've got lipo saddle packs in at the mo. but I understand a stick down one side is better for ballance?

Hello chaps! i have linked some pics for you. One is of my X10 with the blue X11 steering upgrade kit. This fits onto the standard X10 front gearbox top although some dremelling needs to be done to allow room for the servo-steering link rod. The other pics are of my X11 front end. Its hard to see the differences with my car as everthing is anodised black but you are able to see the Alloy cross brace that the rocker arms bolt to (this is usually blue) Xtreme also do the X11 steering conversion for the X10 which comes with the X11 front gearbox top and the alloy cross brace, it may be that your car is fitted with this already.

Hope this helps!

Interesting - an x-brace that isn't blue...

Quite a bit of corrosion on the rockers and the x-brace?

The rockers look like basic alloy items that ive seen on the XRS ... the cross brace could be a proto item or one of a early batch that wasnt anodized blue... or even someone with a mill that made one themselves.... it looks a slightly different surface finish/colour than the arms or rockers, but that could be the camera angle.

Anyway, just clean it all up and use it

Looks to me like you have standard X10 steering linkage and arms and an X11 front gearbox top with a pre or clear-anodised brace, either way as said above run it and enjoy!
