Exzes Z questions
I am considering selling my esprit 3 with Spektrum and getting the Sanwa Exzes Z.
I have never had one of the modern Sanwa sticks, how do people find them? Do the receivers stay binded with the transmitter? And is the 60/40 throttle / brake thing easy to change? Also the Telemetry function, is that only with the Sanwa ESC? Thanks

Hi, they are super fast and super light.
I have had no binding problems and once you get past how the menu's and menu control wheel works, they are a doddle. Theres a whole heap of things it can do and a ton you may never need. I thought it was a bit awkward selecting a different model but found hold a certain button in a position while switching on selects a model that you assign to it. I went from super exzes to the Z its worth every penny. Rc mart a hongkong company has them, £300 on ebay but i imaging warranty would be a bit iffy. |

Cool,
How easy it is to just reduce steering throw? On my KO I just twist a dial whilst doing a practice lap. Is there a similar method for the Exzes. Also does the telemetry system work with any old electrics? or Just the sanwa stuff? As to Warranty Sanwa warranty is worldwide, although one of the tempting things about the Sanwa is they are meant to be very reliable.

Not done it yet but you can assign different functions to the switches and dials.
And for telemetry you use sanwa receivers like 472 or 462. Only sanwa receivers work but mostly all are compatible with the Z. You get 471 receiver with it. |

I got a 472 receiver with mine already, it allows telemetry.
Very good upgrade from an Esprit. The menu is somewhat hard to figure out but once done it is way quicker to find any function than scrolling through the Esprit menu. Dual rate to reduce steering is located by default just near the right Index finger so very easy to tune while running. I really like the fact that I have access to three models very easily, Just turn on while pressing one of the three assigned buttons and the transmitter start with that car. Smart. I have to find a lipo or life battery for it as the stock Nimh didn't last long. |

Do the sticks have a 60/40 swing? Is it like the old esprit 2 where you have less Movement range in reverse but at neutral the sticks are central?

More travel for throttle than brakes but the feel of the brake seems to require more force than throttle, very neat.

Have you gone with the Exzes Z? I am considering replacing my Code FHSS with one of these and just wondering how you're getting on with it?

I was ready to press the buy button, but then KO announced the Esprit 4 and the new Futaba was also announced so I might wait a month and see what these are like. Although the Sanwa seems to still be the one tempting me the most.

Just thinking of changing to a Sanwa exzes z and just wondering if anybody has the sanwa super vortex as well and how they have found it.
