Hey Chef,

Saw your post about the Vega 201. Come over to the rcLazy tent and have a look at mine, it's pretty awesome and very easy to drive. I'll get some cells charged if you're after a quick spin round the track.

What's the issues with the SV? I had a pretty trouble free time with it?

Ok for those making their first trip to TORCH, if you can please send entry details to info@torchracing.org.uk so I can put them on the laptop ready. There is no need to pre book / pre pay. Just having the details on the laptop makes things easier on the day etc.

Also those using PTs - it'll be YOUR responsibility to check the heat listings and confirm the correct number. I have a lot of work rubbish and lots of passwords rattling round my brain.. People's individual PT numbers isn't one of them...

I'd like that as I looking at the 201 b4.1 and the Kyosho. As Im new to 2wd I'm going to take my time and make a wise choice (I hope) the other option is a C4.1. But as said I'll take my time in choosing. If I may tickle the stick and have a little go that would be greatly appreciated.

If it was me, I'd wait till the C4.1 and Durango DEX210 have hit the track in the hands of Joe public. My thoughts is that you can't go wrong with any of those three. It'll come down to price and support at your local track.

It is harder when you're the only one racing car abc etc.

Is the 210 Durango not Cougar like? The only down side to the B4/C4.1 is Imperial, When will those yanks get into line with the rest of the world. I believe that the Losi has gone metric. I'm in no rush for a 2WD I will take my time and hope to chose wisely.

From what little i've seen the vega looks like a better made chassis I'll see the Rango looks good but I'm not so sure if ut is truly like a Cougar.

Yes the Vega chassis is a work of art. The carbon shock tower on my old Vega 201 left a lot to be desire - but I think they released in updated one.

My Vega choice would be RB5 version

Mikey it's just been the diff, gearbox all the time little crashes and it seems to brake, it's great at torch until it breaks but doesn't matter what I do at shrccc it just does work and then breaks. Now the esc popped nothing to do with the cougar but the same car ha ha but I will speak with lazy on Sunday as it should have a warranty I guess and shouldn't break so soon. I like driving the rat and not so keen on the cougar but I think that's due to problems from the start.

Bring it with you on Sunday - I think I had a diff prob once on my SV (and it was my fault) from May 2010 to about 8 weeks ago when I last ran it.

What are you braking on it? I broke a rear shock tower after going a bit too big on a jump at Petit, that's it. I personally found it a nice car to run.

If I have time I'll have a look etc.

Continued the car prep last night and looking forward to making a return to TORCH. Looking forward to racing on a non sandy track! Still got sand falling out of the car from my last race elsewhere

Any superstars attending?
