Advice for removing paint.
Hi all,
I'm in the process of resurrecting an old tamiya F103, the body shell is a Ferrari F301b and it's in good condition but the paint has since faded and begun to flake off, i have peeled most of it off but there are some areas of paint that is still stuck. I want to get the paint off so i can do a respray, is there any method of getting the paint off without using sandpaper?. I know it's unusual for someone to want to respray a polycarbonate shell but i dont really want to fork out £40 plus for a newer one. Thanks.

Best stuff I've tried is dot 4 brake fluid from halfords, but it is a pain to do!

+1 on the dot4, it will be hard work though and its generally better to buy a new body to get the best possible finish.
Good luck and hope you post some pics of the finished work. |
