Jumps much better that way. I run the rear wing with just a little vertical guerney. When you move it forward the front edge goes over the rear tower so you either need to remove a little for where the tips of the tower want to stick through like Ellis http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/south.../NO5E1308.html , or cut out a section of the front wing like I do http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/south.../NO5E1237.html

What speedo/motor you oing to run?

When the wing is back, the car wants to jump and dump its ass on the descent - like a shuttlecock. It generates so much downforce. Moving it forward makes it jump and land nice and flat.

Using B4 servo posts to hold servo down (as far back as possible) is hot.

Glueing up the servo saver is hot (even the strongest spring is too weak for the X-6).

Hey Matty,
When using a KO servo and the intended mounts, there is some dremel action required on the chassis otherwise it won't it.

With the B4 mounts the servo can be mounted about 3mm further back, and no dremel actual required - oh, except fot removing the raised section where the holes are for the original servo posts.

Yep, just got to drill and countersink the chassis, the servo will never come loose either (not that it did before tho) - bullet proof.

Defo on the B4 posts, just 2 secs to trim off the raised section on the chassis.

Those carbon shims are certainly pretty warm

Those were one off's made by Brian.

There is a new carbon fibre rear tower and associated new lower section in the pipeline but I've not got them yet.

Running a CF rear tower on the back of an X - 6 has been done by quite a few people, mostly independant of each other. I know the first person I heard/saw doing it was a family member from SRS; the more we thought about his modification the more we realized it was an excellent idea. We started the design process on the new base and tower back in May, and the first production parts are very nearly done. In the meantime, a few other family members including Brian made up their own versions, utilizing lots of different parts and techniques. You should see the first prodcution-prototype parts on an X - 6 near you very soon.
