Default Any advantage using big bores on a TC02C?

Exactly as the title says - is there any advantage upgrading the shocks on a TC02C to big bores? If so, are the Team C ones good or are others better?

Bug bores tend to react slower than small bores, the Team C big bores fitted to the TM2 and TM4 have not given me any issues .

Nothing wrong with team c shocks, big or small bore. I have tried both sets indoor and out and it seems to me that the big bores are better over the jumps and bumpy sections and the small bores seem to make the car feel more nimble and change direction better. I now use small bores with large bore springs and think it now feels like I got the best of both worlds. Personal preferences really.

That's a great idea. Where did you get the collar and other parts to convert small bore body to big bore springs please?

Its collars and retainers from traxxas. I think it was about £6. I can try to find the part number if you want ?

Looks like the core rc set of BB springs with tapered bottom to fit standard cup will be the way to go on the springs

Just had a thought - on my B44.1 I have the small bore shocks with big bore springs. It uses the Avid top collar which attaches to existing small bore collar by way of a grub screw. I had never thought of trying them due to the metric / imperial incompatibility issues with every other part...

But, I have just tried it on the Team C and though the avid shock collars are marginally too small to fit over the Team C collar in the same way they do on the B44.1 collar, if it unscrew the Team C ones and invert them it fits perfectly and will lock onto the collar using the grub screw.

I will therefore look to get a set of the Core RC springs with the tapered bottoms to fit existing bottom cups and see how that goes.

CR190 fits 13mm shocks
CR191 fits 14mm shocks

Another way if using Core RC springs is to fit them small diameter up and use the big bore cups on the bottom: -

I'd spotted those but don't know whether team C are 13mm or 14mm
