Default Unbeiliveable

Hi all

Just Got a Hyper 9e with a mmm and a medusa motor and some flight power lipos and i must admit i am very impressed cant wait to get it to the track it accelerates so so quickly its untrue it accelerates faster than my 1/10th brushless buggy , i know ive just bought it and all but i want a high capacity good battery that i can fast charge (2c+) and then i can sell the flighpowers or use them for practice/backup and then just use the 1 good pack for racing also i dont suppose you know if the flightpower balance lead is the same as the one on a tornado balancer

Cheeres

I wouldn't use LiPo at all for charging at >2C - instead, have a look at A123-based LiFe packs. Puffin Models are the only UK sellers I know of, but there is a US-based seller (John's Hobby Shop, iirc) that sells them at keen prices.

I Know about A123/li-fe cells i use them in my touring car , i usually use 5 cells as it is faster than lipo but a A123 pack is the fastest however i dont think you could run them in a 1/8th as i havent seen any high enough capacity

Also have some lipos for my 1/10th buggy that you can charge at 5c and have charged at 2c in a emergancy , but usually charge at 1c

You can run A123 packs in 1/8 - you just use them in parallel. Only problem is they are far heavier than Lipo for the same power.

You can get the new Flightpower EonX range in the UK. These are capable of 5C charge rates, though I think it will slightly shorten the life at 5C. However, for 2-3C charging they are perfect. Not to mention Flightpower use the best cells (Enerland cells) in the business.

Flighttech Distribution have leads from Flightpower to JST and other connectors too.
I get between 20 and 25 minutes when bashing, and about 11 to 12 minutes on track.
