Default Racing at York-14th Feb 4wd/4wd 17.5t Rnd 5

Racing continues with round 5 of the 4wd classes. 2wd classes will also run.
Doors open at 1745, racing starts at 1845.
Advance notice that the Club are changing to RC4 decoders after Easter. This will affect those drivers using older MRT transponders, the ones that continue to 'flash' when switched on. If you use one of these please let race control know next time you book in. According to membership records only 4 people said they used the older MRT! Handout transponders are still available for those that need them.

I found this very useful vid by Chequered Flag Racing explaining how to identify RC4 compatable MRT Transponders

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiQC_P72sfk

Hope it helps someone.

The video says one thing (correctly) but the description below says the opposite. '..if yours doesnt blink its the older mrt and will not work with new decoder...'.

Are the ones at RHR still YORCC's? Will they remain RC3 or are they changing too?

I'm confused too now...

All I know is, that my old MRT PT had a solid light on it when switched on. My new one (bought from Team MRT on ebay as reconditioned & RC4 compatable) flashes twice like in the video. I suppose the the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Its touch and go, but I'm really hoping to be there this weekend, especially with the way the K1 was going last weekend... I do so love stock racing, there's something special about the racing when everyone is running the same level of kit...

Mine is the same. I've emailed MRT to ask them and to check on the upgrade costs. Will report back.
