Default Racing on this Sunday at Batley

Checked the weather and should be the same as Saturday which is good at the moment and reports say that it should not be as windy!

Hope we have a good turnout again this week - good competition makes for a good meeting and also helps keep the Club afloat!

See you all Sunday.

My son has the above. He is 18. It's a 1/10th stadium truck. He has a (one) LiPo battery. There is no doubt he can handle the car OK. And the car is undoubtedly FAST, it's a brushless motor. But he has zero experience at racing. But he isn't stupid and he knows what's expected in getting round a track and not annoying people by bashing them off all the time. If he got there early enough, could he race with you people? It's 2WD. Let me know quick cos he lives a long way away and he will have to set off early. he would dearly love to have a go in a racing environment. All he has done so far is pull tricks at the local skate park and tear all the grass up in the garden.

Absolutely sounds fine, people don't normally race trucks (there's not really a truck class) but Steve Lawson one of the club officials raced a truck a couple of weeks ago, so yes!

Not sure if he's been round a track before but the slower the better My friend used my car last week, he did race when he was a kid but hasn't raced for nearly 20 years I think and the motor in my car was a little much for him I think.

But yes- please come down. If you need any help then just ask someone, I'll be the one pitting out of my smart car if you need anything. I also only have 1 lipo battery, as long as you have a way to charge up between rounds it's OK.

thanks v much for prompt reply. Willaim is deaf but i will be there to help him. We have never fitted a transponder to a car before and we don't know what to do. I hope William is slow. We don't want him blowing everybody off in a car he shouldn't be racing! But I'm sure he won't. He is v quick but is new to racing and new to the track of course. Diane Harrison let him have a few laps in between races last Sunday which he really enjoyed. If things go according to plan, we might meet tommorrow! ~I am currently building a HPI Cyber 10b so you will def see me down there one day. Regards John Clift.

I have a body reamer to make a hole (for the transponder) and a transponder clip you can have - so that's sorted. you just pick up the transponder before your heat starts and clip it inside the body somewhere and then you're ready to go.
Ah I think I might have seen you guys, my mate was racing the Cyber10b also, it's a great performer, I raced it at the last round of the National championship series this year, really good. Even the kit tyres work pretty well outdoors. If you're running a hot motor it does need a slipper though.

Looks like it could be a hidden feature of the Durango, all this front wheel drive stuff, seen it a few times now !

The LOSI wheel pin he was using broke - not even a Durango part.

LOL jimmy. What you need to ask though Jimmy, is why was he using a LOSI Pin ? Could it be that he lost / broke the Durango one.... (I don't know how to do stick out tongue smiley things, but rest assured if I did there would be one here !)

P.S. Is the 'hopefully' big-ish batley meeting definitely a week sunday ? If so i've booked it with the boss and hope to see you there

He didn't like how short the Durango one was, so decided to replace it - Keep trying to pick holes in the car Andy, we all know you want one and are trying to convince yourself otherwise!

See ya there mate, hope you're doing 4WD so I can give you another sound thrashing with the Durango!
