Ilike to know the answer to this aswell, I've heard the harder the back the less grip on the front and the more understeer you will get. The softer the back the more grip you will get on the front but too much and your car may spin out alot.
Can someone who has been doing this longer than 3 weeks like me let me know if I have this right please. |

HTH's
SIDE TUBES / DAMPER DISK LUBE THICKER - increases front traction - adds steering. Slows transition and softens steering in fast sweepers. If car is double steering on power use thicker oil to slow reaction time but if go to far you can see inside rear tire lift in tight corners. THINNER - decreases front traction - decreases steering. http://richardchang.com/hobby.php?topic=112setup

we where running at Teesside track last night with our boys dave, we tried different thing and one of the tests was to take the damper tube all together and this made the car handle better, that what he said anyway, another tip was to take of the pivot housing using them to small rub screws add a small amout of oil 30wgt etc refix and away you go ( make sure nothing binds after tightening the screws back up )....
