Post Shimming the diffs in X11-08

Hi guys,

I am still building my X11-08 have been out the country for 6 weeks so had to put it on the back burner, but now back and slowly getting there. Tonight i was installing the diffs into the chassis and the destructions say to shim the diffs, i know you had to when the crown and pinion were different material on the xK98. But the crown feels different and the pinion is now metal. Looked in the box and no shims there at all, are they not needed now??the movement seems ok and there seems to be next no back lash in the crown to pinion. Should i be shimming the diffs or will they be ok?

any help will be appreciated.

Many thanks

windy
