A Flat steel one comes in the kit.... Same as the 410 and SC. No need to really spend money on a 'pro' one if you don't need to.

That would be telling
We would be daft if we didn't though, wouldn't we.

Stood up to all the abuse that they've had since we got the cars at the oOple race...

I'm sure TD have thought it through, but I was just wondering how well the inserts would stand up to the hard use: Won't the suspension become sloppy (because there now are additional seperate parts everywhere in the suspension, or the other way around, inserts become stuck inside the uprights, hub suspension blocks etc. due to dust, dirt and grit?

Am switching from imperial so would be good to know the sizes of the new tools i need to buy, i am thinking 1.5, 2, 2.5 & 3 but it would be good to have it confirmed
if it's anything like the 410 the majority of screws will be 2mm (1.5 and 2.5 needed). The 410 also used 1.3mm or .050 screws in the shock cap bleeders and geared diff housings...

Oi Adam!

I'm feeling left out of the answer round

Any chance of getting front axles to fit associated wheels or is the offset different? It would be nice to be able to use what I have. Rear wheels should fit if you remove the hex, no?

Your's was a daft question, that's why I left it till last!

Front wheels, we will be releasing an axle set, but why you'd want to put ugly wheels on the front of the car, I really don't know...

Rear wheels. Just like the 410, you can remove the hex and replace with the cone washer and distance spacer and you can run the old pin type wheels.

I specialise in daft questions

I want to run the ugly wheels because I have a shedload of them and they're mostly yellow.

Had a go with Jörns DEX210 over the weekend and was immediately on the same laptimes as my current car (which is not slow!). And that was on the wrong tyres... Can't wait for the kit to get here!

Just got an email from my model shop to say that they are collecting them today and anyone that wants to collect them can do, otherwise they will be shipped for delivery tomorrow.

They need to be quality checked apparently.

That extra day could be the difference between an airbrushed shell and a white van man special!

My view, get it right first time. A delayed release but with a spot on delivery is better than an early release knowing something's wrong.

Remember people don't remember the successes over failures.

I agree that it should be right first time. But I also think that any QC should have been carried out and satisfied before a launch date was given....

They could have just carried out the QC this week and then announced after it was complete that the car would be released on X date.

I dont have one of these on order, I am happy with my RB5 Vega and have the Lazer FS2 SP on pre-order so there is no bitterness on my part, I just think in my opinion that all the necessary checks should be carried out before any announcements are made to the public regarding release dates.

Adam acutally makes a very valid point. All TD have done thus far is provide product information. It's the retailers that have been putting dates on the release
