what sb4 is it ? I think they are like, eb4 s2 / s3 ??
Jamie booth won a national with the HB lightning if I remember correctly, so cant be too shabby.
what are the prices on those, and are they rtr ? it also depends on what the quality of the rest of the gear is like I suppose - like if it will work!.

a hyper 7 tq is a cracking beginners car and very tough, the xtm2 is also very good and tough but comes with a 24.7 not a 21.

the eb4 s2 is oldish now and i think the hyper is a better car.
the eb4 s3 is good but not rtr
the hong nor is also good in rtr form

not really seen the lightning up close..just make sure you choose one with a 21 engine, some rtr's come with bigger engines.

mine..send me the money and it yours

so hard to choose really as there is such a vast array of equipment out there.

what are you wanting to do with it..race,play,serious or just club level.

if your just at club level then a rtr with some good servos, starter box and maybe a good radio would suit you fine, spend the rest on spares, glowplugs, assortment of tyres etc.

unless your a very good driver then a rtr will more than suffice for you,if you want me to choose some kit to build a car for you then i will be more than happy to,just decide what you want to do racing wise.

you wont get a mugen rtr

if your after rtr then a hyper 7 or hong nor rtr would be the first stop, then add a starter box £40,nice steering servo £50 and your good to go.

personally i'd get the hyper 8 rtr over the 7

do you need the entire radio set or will you be using existing transmitter and reciever. do we need to include tires in the price?

for servos get an ace the same as jimmy about £60 for the steering+ a deacent 2nd servo for about £30

rx battery £10 i assume you will be able to turn the charge current down to about 1A on your existing charger

glow start & fuel £25

if you want a pro car
car either the hyper8 or hong nor £300 the hyper includes a race legal pipe not sure on hong nor

engine sts thing about £80

the tq has c hub front steering blocks, the pbs(pillow ball suspension) uses a ball and socket, the tq seems to be better as it gives more steering and more consistent.

as has been said you could get a hyper 8,they also do a rtr hyper 8,not sure what engine the hyper 8 rtr comes with,im thinking it may be a 28 as is the new hyper7 tq..if so your gonna need another engine if you want to race.

the good thing about the hyper 7 is that parts are plentiful and cheap..especially on ebay.
