Default Shock oil choices

Afternoon all

I've been checking out the carpet setups on petitrc and notice the majority of drivers are running high weight oil in the front, anything up to 60wt.

What's the reason for this?

To stop roll I expect. I've been running 35wt up front with number 2 pistons outdoors and it's extremely good. Ran it a few times indoors and haven't felt the need to change. Depends on their pistons too I suppose.

60 wt is very thick for a 2WD buggy, 600 cst is comparable to approx. 47.5 wt AE oil or between 40 and 45 wt Losi oil.
