I'm still trying to work out what the advantages would be aside from a bit of weight loss, as the durango is a car that actually thrives on being heavy. Isn't it just creating more weak points?

Carbon is flexible enough to bend during a crash and then bend back and not stay bent like the original chassis.

Well, Kjetil claimed it would have more flex and work better

At the Cactus Classics both a carbonchassis and plastic sideguards were used
