Thanks Mikey, You'll be more than welcome but its a loooooong way off yet!. I see you have editted your post since I pressed quote (2 hours ago!).

I'd would have loved to have got involved with TORCH as its a great set up for the south , however the issue for me is the distance. I have the time and the passion but do not want to travel 50 mins each way on an evening after work to tend to the site. This place is 5 mins from my home so its pretty easy.

Plan is for grass mainly with concrete, tarmac and astro places. Covered pits: Yes, if you bring a Gazeebo!, plenty of parking for 100+ cars on grass/hard standing, camping, tintents. Power is an issue but we might be able to address this ala Caravan style hook ups. Still early days but keep the list of idea coming

Some more pictures from today.

First job is a barrier to separate the the area's out (where the track starts) and then the storage unit/race control should arrive next week.

Need to plan and design a rostrum now .....

Ahh .. thats given the game away.

I won't steal your thunder though Dudders.

It's only about 1 mile from me and I don't have a 1/10 buggy.

Looks like you've just cost me another small fortune!

If people know the area its pretty simple to work out . Its listed on our new facebook page now anyway

Looks like your a flat bottom racer so would need to spend some £££, might give you a winter / summer evening outlet though.

I think the scene is big enough not to take away from tarmac clubs more the merrier

YES, there WILL be a ramp on one side. I have a friend who teaches kids with disabilities so he wants to bring a few of them down as well.

Depending on the site, it might be steep thus you requiring a push up but it'll get you up.

All depends on the height. Got a meeting on site Tuesday AM.

Was that a quote for a custom-built rostrum or did you plan with scaffolding or similar?

Building a platform on top of your race control can work too if you use a container or something that will take the weight.

Rostrum arriving this week so we can be open for weekend / Evening practice sessions soon! Work party on Wednesday evening for a bit of shrubbery and block clearance. It'll be my round afterwards!

Ideally yes but the site is narrow at one end so didnt want to use up 3m + for it, so race control will be 90 degrees to the rostrum .

Built from new Scaffold so nice n shiney!!!

Trishbits is in Newbury too. I think this could get quite a big following. A track around these parts is great news.
