I completely missed this post!

In my limited running of gear diffs I've found that putting a gear diff in the rear gives the car a lot more drive out of corners. Keeping the ball diff in the front still allows the car to take rough/bumpy tracks pretty well.

Are you running the front ball diff Tom as per kit setting ? or looser / tighter.

Default Starting set up for Worksop?

With the Worksop series starting a week today, please could one of the Schumacher guys suggest a good starting set-up. Preferably with gear diffs, alloy rear blocks, and 7.5 front yokes.

Also, it'd be interesting if they could detail if they are going with small or big bores, or if they are waiting to see the track before making that decision?

Can anybody tell me what's the best setup for the belts? What is the right tension on them?

I set them on the loosen side , as i found the car run smoother and not over heating after i loosen the belts as lose as possible (without skipping )

Ok thank you.

I've watched some video's on youtube and they say the tension is good when you can move with your finger the belt a couple of mm's up and down.

I see from Tom Cockerill's worlds set up sheet he was using the SV2 rear suspension arms, what difference will this make and are more parts required other than the suspension arms?

This is my setup from Batley today, the car was amazing, managed to win.
The setup is the same apart from change rear springs to black for worksop and front springs to blue.

i can assume that this tread also will work for the Aero version?

is there anyone who hase a set up for the past EOS race in CHALERLOI please?

i will start training there shortly for the BNK race this season , and would like to put on a good set up from the start.

i heard mr. Lloyd Storey has raced there , and his car was very fast.

maybe Mr Cockerill can arrange a good set up ?

thanks guy's

Default K1 AERO Setup

I am looking at purchasing 2 K1 Aero kits for my boy (his first ever RC Build) and myself to get back into racing.

My son will be running Speed Passion electronics with a V3 8.5 and I will be running Speed Passion V3 7.5

Does anyone have a starting setup to run at TORCH (High Grip Astro) that I shoud start with.

Also any hop ups I need to get to install during the build.

Any help very much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark & Wesley

Hi

Now ordered the 2 K1 AERO kits so just waiting on Mr or Mrs Postie.

I need to order the oils for both shocks and diffs has anyone got a base starting point so I know what to order and start with for high grip astro.

Cheers

Mark

Not ran at Torch, but I would be starting with 20k diff oil all round - Shocks would be 450wt 3 hole standard on Core Green for the front, 400wt 3 hole 1.6 on Core Black springs.

I'm not sure what kit pistons are to be honest.
