Default Slipper setting on cat sx2 and cougar

Hi
Just getting my cars ready for the season never run the cat yet but how much of the slipper thread is showing on your car.Do you run cars with little or no thread showing will be run on high grip, understand that the diffs will bed in so will have to tighten them up with use.But last year ran the cougar about 6 times or so but i melted a diff did the clip mod diff in both cars are tight but free.
How much slip should they have on astro as a guide?
Thanks

4wd:

I tend to tighten the diffs up full then back them off 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn, run them in on the bench and then re-adjust. After this they should be good to run on the track. I set the slipper on the track or high grip surface. I back it off so it's slipping and then gradually tighten it until there is 2-5ft of slipping on a high grip surface.

2wd:

Similar to 4wd, but slipper adjustment is normally done at each track so that the front wheels don't lift too much under power.
