There should be a table set aside for scrutineering along with the transponders (if you need one). A simple box for width / length, and scales are all that is used. Things like motors / cells etc are not usually checked - but if you are naughty then people are allowed to beat you with sticks.

Is the York meeting going to be a flat track or is it going to be off road?

Serious just for a second Mark, we don't scrutinise to a high level but that is on the assumption people are not breaking the rules. Should we find people running not currently legal then normal action would be taken. I seem to remember Ben was ussing 4200's last year as he didn';t realise they weren't legal until april and lost his round times or something.
If the mamba motor isn't on the list, you can't run it. Woody, York usually do excellent off road tracks, they are more limited in the current venue as it's slightly smaller and there are no large crash mats that vermin usualy makes the massive jumps out of. I am confident it will be a very good track though! Dan

We do have access to all the gym equipment so the track should be up to the usual standard. I really wouldn't worry about it. Graham is normally excellent at building tracks and I don't see why this will be any different.

Haven't raced with you since the last time I did 12th nats. I've got my Novak 4.5 back in, with new bearings in. I've been using a 3.5 at Teesside and i'm now sick of it, I was quicker with the 4.5 and my tyres lasted a lot longer!! |

Guys, sorry to be a bore, but there is a tread about the York track already. Could we keep this for questions about the series only please?
Cheers, G

No problem.
Best to bring a table and chair, I haven't seen where we are pitting yet so don't know what we'll have access to. G I once did a poo that looked just like Terry Waite, but it didn't have a beard and was not chained to a radiator.

Hi there,
I was @ the in-laws last night and was offered a large slice of pie! I like pie, in fact I absolutely love pie, I cant get enough of it. My question is.... Q. What is you favourite type of pie? Oh! regional related question, Is the meeting in New York (USA)? If so can someone keep me a table because I might be late (Quantum accelorators playing up). Jimarea51 PS. I also like cheese, but only if it is a wedge type ('cos then it looks like pie), edam is nice. I once saw a block of cheese and was so violently sick I nearly turned inside out. PPS. I also once owned a tubo charged Aardvark that was totally made of cheese, it was nice but it wasn't very good, couldn't get much boost as it went a bit 'gooey' when the engine got warmed up a bit. I eventually replaced the Turbo with one made from snails shells held together with blue tac - was much better. Last edited by Stu; 19-01-2007 at 06:15 PM. Reason: Stiill not random enough Jim. |
