Question £450(max) laptop advice please?

After nearly 3 years of solid University abuse my laptop is frail and close to death.

During May I need to buy myself a new laptop to replace my beloved Fujitsi-Siemens LI thingy and need some advice as to whats best for my budget.
  • I need to have at least 3GB+ of RAM.
  • A massive HDD isnt that important to me really as I use external HDD's to store my important stuff.
  • Needs to come from a reputable shop that I can either collect from (PC World, Comet etc) or one that will deliver to me.
  • Needs to have working versions of Microsoft Office (no trials)
  • Needs to come with Windows 7
  • Need at least 4 USB ports
  • Need a DVD-RW
  • 15.6" screen or bigger
  • Memory card reader would be nice
  • Wireless

Cant think of anything else at the moment, and any advice is greatly recieved

Get hold of a 2nd hand Macbook!

I have a Macbook i use for work its the best thing ever!
its ahead of windows by miles and you can still run office etc...

I would never go back to a PC after using a Mac.

Only three USB's, but cheap for the spec.

Heres another: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/257135

I would factor in a 2gb ram chip upgrade too, as these are shared graphics. Although these have DDR3 Ram, which will give a significant performance upgrade.
