i got two of the vampire lipos from DMS a few weeks back.
though did have to do a fairly simple amount of modification to get the batteries to fit.

could be worth a call to see if they just haven't updated their website. or can get a few in in time for you.

though you can click on the tech specs for the vampire to check the dimensions

Most GTB guys run a hobbyking battery, even if your not a fan of buying from them, its the best softcase battery that fits in the car. Some of the team drivers use it.

I think its this one, but its been a couple of years since i had to buy one, so double check the dimensions.

If your looking for a hard case, then your options are the vampire pack, or shumacher do a hard case intellect pack. It looks neater in the car. I know a couple of the team drivers tried it, but i cant remember what the conclusion was.

I run the intellect ones in mine, you just needs to angle the wire closest to the top deck or Dremel a small amount out of it so the connecter doesn't hit.
The turning ones are definitely cheaper but I'm not happy to have wires all over the place 😊😊

Hi all
Thankyou all for your advice and direction, I do like the idea of the hardcase lipos. Do you have the link or description for the thunder power ones as when I was looking for them I couldn't find them.

I bleieve the turnigy ones with the link posted earlier are 116mm long which I have been advised are too long for the car?

I have bought one of these along with my kit.

Default SORTED

Hi All
Thanks for your replies and advice regarding the lipos, after trying the turnigy which were a great battery, then bought the Gens ace from ebay and they felt under powered and inconsistent compared against the turnigy.

Finally I feel I have found the best lipo to suite us, they require a minimal bit of dremeling to the gearbox plate to allow the balance lead in(pic no.3). These batteries performance is great and they do keep the car balanced in terms of weight.

These out perform the turnigy by far. I highly recommend these but they are hard to find.
I've paid £35 per pack which in terms of quality I feel reasonable as ThunderPower are a good known brand

Dimensions: 102 x 34 x 13
