Default Ultima-Mid

Hey,

I've designed this kit to convert your Ultima into a mid-motor buggy.

It is shown here with the roll-cage, I designed but works also with the original body set. Furthermore it is compatible with the turbo and rerelease chassis, and ultima2 and ultima pro chassis.
(The ultima pro-xl rear arms are not compatible.)
Other parts in the image include the shorty holder kit, adjustable wing-mount, wide front-end kit and ED-special bumper.

The kit parts are all available in my shapeways shop.

Cool stuff. What material do you use for RC parts?

I give people the choice in the shapeways shop so they can pick the cheaper opitions or get a colour of their choice. But I always recommend the HP printer with mjf technology, which uses PA12 and PA11 in black or dark grey only. Whenever I get parts printed this is what I get myself. The finish is better, the design freedom bigger and the part is equally strong in all directions.

Any chance of a link to your SW store?

Sure, here you go: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/mr-ed-s-rc-products
Before you order, drop me a personal message and we'll look together to see if there's a cheaper local alternative to shapeways for you.
