Guys .
is the club any nearer to finding land to race on that they can call their own .
I am keeping a look out in and around odiham/hook and the hatch . i know its a little way but thought out of town there would be no noise problems and there is more likely a bigger piece of land to play with .

cheers jim

Hi epoxy

no not yet, We have another meeting in Newnham next week that Steve has arranged. I have finally had a response from Hampshire and they are going to run a search for me. I havn't had a response to my last 5 emails to Basingstoke, despite them saying they were very keen to help. So any suggestions are very appreciated and will be fully supported and followed up by the club.

I will definitely be looking for volunteers, maybe a membership discount could be in order. We just need to decide our plan of action first. Direction is key (aswell as some free beer and food for the work force of course).

I should get a call in the next few days.

If not I will chase.

The construction won't be an issue as I'm a qualified scaffold inspector so we can build to the correct standard.

We need to think about how we are going to support the scaffold.

Will we ne concreting some of the up-rights into the ground or supporting them on pavers?

Default interested in joingning your club

Hi
I am currently racing indoor touring cars but am finding the fun factor is begining to wear off what with a certain amount of elitism and the cost . I am looking for some fun racing and not having to spend the earth on equipment to be reasonably on the pace.
I have an acme trooper and a ansmann mad rat would either of theses be any good to start off with outdoors at your club?

The mardaves look like a hoot too!

also where and when could i come along and take a look ?

Paul,
Sorry you've had no response, we generally use facebook for club chat http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/BRCCLUB/

We have just started meeting on a Wednesday night for practicing and Saturdays for track building/maintenance with Sunday for racing at The Woodyard off Roman Way.
This Sunday there will be no racing outdoors, but it will be Mardaves indoors.

Try the Facebook link and you'll get a flavour of what's happening.

Trevor.

Hope you enjoyed the daves Paul. They are more fun than a lot of racers give them credit for.
