Best to get your entry in the wednesday before the meeting. This gives sleigh time to get you in a decent heat etc etc.

I normally enter the sunday evening a week before the meeting.

oh right, that's cool. Nice and relaxed. Thanks Mark.

I saw that the national entries are closing soon, and panicked, as I haven't entered any regionals yet. I thought the regional entry process may have been similar.

I am pretty sure it is on the Astro (overheard a conversation between Bill and someone at the last Kidi meeting).

Given the weather at the moment i think this is a good idea.

Bert.
Pray for some really hot weather.
Heard they were saving the grass track for EOS Finals.

I like the Cov astro track, may I ask why you guys don't?

For me it is always consistent all the way around a lap (although does change greatly with the weather I'll give you that ... but hey, it's the UK). I also like the fact that one set of tires will last all day ..... I hate mounting tires track side!!
The track is always in a good state of repair, no flapping edges, no big holes / tears in the astro and the corner markers always solid.

I really can't think of any reason to slate the track at all, especially when you consider how much effort it must have been to build and is to maintain. If people slag off these sort of tracks why will anybody build purpose built tracks such as this??? Now that would be a loss to the sport for sure!

Now if you say you don't like it as a surface, or prefer a different style of layout then that is fine, your entitled to your opinions ......... but to say it's "bloody aweful" just isn't fair mate.

have you walked round rog

i think coventry are a very well organised and well run club and fair play to em but the astro track is like you say an all purpose facility but when they have the grass track behind which is a really nice track why not use it this type of thing happened at marstons mega track it was never used why i dont know. tbh the astro track seems to flood far worse than the grass track as well.

I personally find the Astro track better when it is run anti~clockwise. You can judge the double jump better and i find it more smoother.
Would be great if the Coventry club could put another Rostrum up on the other side of the grass track so that more of the features on it could be used or add some more.
