Default Message from Dianne re Chadderton Series

Hi to All

I would like to thank everyone that managed to get to the 3rd round for making the effort and appreciate that it was not possible for everyone - with 79 drivers we were able to run a good meeting and managed to finish by 3.30 pm which gave everyone the chance to get home earlier.

Congratulations to Craig Collinson - a double win in 2wd and 4wd and Richard Lowe in the Trucks class. There was some really close racing in the 2wd and 4wd finals - nip and tuck all the way round - so Craig did well to get the wins.

I would like to thank the few drivers that turned up on Saturday to build the track - feedback was that it was the best one yet but more volunteers are needed to make the task easier.

I would also like to thank everyone that helped to put the track away after the meeting - it only took 15 minutes and it was all put away. This is a big improvement on previous meetings and I hope this will continue into the next meetings.

I know I tend to give repeated requests for this assistance but it does prove that 'many hands make light work'. Track building and putting away is the main bone of contention for many clubs and the reason why clubs close because of lack of assistance from drivers. Please always remember that most clubs are run on a voluntary basis so a few minutes of your time to help the clubs will hopefully stop them closing and give you good racing venues.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you on the 16 January 2011.

(If you have not put your entry in - best to do so as it looks as though it is going to be a busy meeting!)

Dianne

I would like to add note, that I'm sure is not just a personal message, but a sentiment held by very many others also.

I would like to offer a very big thank you to Dianne for making the effort to give up her free time, for no motive other than she knows it benefits us racers. We must also not forget the travelling in atrocious weather conditions, it would have been very easy to just cancel the meeting.

Thanks also go to Claire for all her time, the guys who turn up to build the track, and everyone who stops back to help pack away.

Default diannes running of the meetings

I've alway admired the way Dianne runs all her meetings, even though soom drivers don't apreciate how the meetings are run, or if things go wrong, she just get s back on the horse and rides over any bumps that may ocur.

I for would say the meetings are always run with the enjoyment of the drivers first,

Thankyou Dianne

Are you able to post the results for the whole series so far (after 3 rounds)?
