Where would I start with a project like this. Seen one on eBay for nearly a grand. I no it's rare but seem over priced. Would building it from nip parts end up costing me this price

I still have my Evo and use it from time to time. I feel its not that much slower than my 502.2, the car is still awsome on grass and high grip tracks
The basic car was very good to start with,i still have not found a car from that era with such a free running drive train.
Getting hold of the orange wheels will be expensive for sure, i have a spare car for bits as i need them but so far i have souced the parts quite quickly and easlly from the web.

I have a few pictures on this site of it.
Jk

After building an Egress from scratch, I can say building the car from parts is definitely more expensive than buying an already built shelf car. Probably not as costly as buying a NIB kit though. Those fetch quite a premium (but you do get more for your money).

I wish I didn't miss out on the standard Top Force re-release. They were selling for $200us when they came out.

I've got a Top Force on the to do list. I've sent the rare metal mounts to a mate to make copied. I'm hoping he makes them out of some spare freaky metal left over from his jobs for lotus Renault. I'll be buying everything pretty much brand new. Fibre lyte parts, Lunsfords etc etc.

Got a YZ10, procat and astute to do.

I have one in the loft!!! I have just got back in to car racing with a losi 22 and have been thinking about buying the old stuff on e-bay but may keep the evolution if it's worth something.

If it's in good condition or if it has any period Hop-Up's it's absolutely worth something to a collector. Probably second only in value to the Egress in terms of vintage Tamiya buggies.

Well will sell it if anyone wants to make an offer. Have all the carbon bits oj the evolution and a strong topforce as spares with 2 alloy front shock towers in the box.
