Add weights to a 502X or not?
So then fellow 502X owners. Is it worth getting the rudebits lipo weight kit, or any weight kit for the 502X? By having them what will it improve or not having them what will my car not do?

I thought about that too. Tested the car on a cool track but it was a bit slippery. Not that the car didn´t feel well but to have best times i feslt the car needed to be a bit more settled. I will add about 35grams and see how it goes.

Tried mine with and without and preferred it without. I run the lipos in the car in the backward position. Feel the car's settled enough like this. I do run weights in my TRF201.

Yes m8 whatever works for you. I don't ever run on clay, mostly astro and grass.

I've been trying alot of different things with mine lately and how now found my 502 to be better than my 511 ever was (for me)
I find that the heavier the car the better so I have all the rudebits weights in action, I have 40 grams next too the motor and just recently I put Yokomo bigbores on the car and it's completely transformed it, it's very settled over bumpy terrain and it's very settled when pushed around corners. I also run two lead plates under the battery's. I was gunna sell it but I'm glad I kept it now, best 4wd I've ever had. Last edited by kirkys2; 05-10-2011 at 07:42 PM. Reason: . |

I found when adding the weights it settles down the rear end alot and generally calms the cars reactiveness. (if thats a word)
Also depends on your track surfaces... best to try both and see what suits you/your track. Lee
