looks sweet any idea on price.maybe the alloy chassis means that there won't be need for a lipo weight.does look very bling.loving the shocks.tis theSEXX

After learning the chassis was 3mm, maybe the side pods don't do quite that much for strength? certainly not as much as the B4 etc do on those cars. just guessing here of course but I'd imagine the weight would be more central and lower down - wether it's heavier or not I'm not sure.

I like the idea of the cells being lower, reminds me of what everyone did with the b3's back in the day! It certainly looks pretty good, it's almost certain to be a strong alternative to the b4.

Looks like you don´t even have to and can just unscrew them, as Jimmy stated and what can be seen on the pics. It would be even way narrower than the 2WD Durango (Prototype). This X-brace at the rear seems to be just fine to mount your electrics upon in that case. Or behind. And then it would be be a one piece chassis par excellence.
Together with the slotted cell tray the CG would be veery low and centralised, could be a rocket on tight high grip tracks. Slim + fast, would have to be called Slim-Fast then... |

on the B3, they didn't ower the cells, they raised the sides, or better clearance, like how they do the fairings on a sports bike.
I am guessing the alloy chassis will bring the weight low, and but the structural rigidity and the pods, more like dirt shields.

it's got nothing to do with how the car looks in pics.
its all down to inprooving on whats out there now. as for the chassis its along the same lines as all8th scale buggys and they seem to work. lets see what it performs like on the track (lets hope its soon) |

Eh? The chassis was cut out so the cells could fit lower....

Anyone know a likely price??

no, on the B3, the cells sat in a channel, so that gave stiffness, they then raised the sides to give clearance for better lean angles

I think Ian's talking about a Mod a lot of us did which was to cut slots out of the bottom of the chassis so that the Cells would sit lower - i've still got one at home with this done!

What Ian means is that everyone took their stock B3 (we also did this to the XXX) and cut slots in the chassis tray so that the cells sat lower.
