I have to say looks a very neat design with some solid looking parts. Big change from the SRX4.

Who cares if it's similar to a Durango and surely if it's the same designer wouldn't you want that man to make sure his ideas that he believes in, are carried over?
It's the fastest car in Europe and it WORKS
Surely drivers should be thriving on that and thinking this car could actually make me faster.
And as for support? There is no part not stocked in the UK for next day delivery....not all can say that either.

So much negativity it's unreal - Think positive people, late September, early October will be like Christmas time
your crystal ball was right again tony, christmas time it was

Couple Of Quick Qs on this car.

Springs, front and rear, whats the ID and unloaded length of them? I've got about 30 pairs of assorted Durango springs that i'd like to carry on using!

Also, whats the diameter of the axle stubs front and rear. i.e. can i fit a Durango 14mm hex to it, so i can use the 20 odd sets of wheels and tyres i have........ failing that, could I fit an XB4 14mm hex?

Either that or i'll get a 410v5. Or current XB4.

Maybe.

Hi Matt - the specific details haven't yet been printed.
I can tell you 12mm springs do fit from other manufacturers.

I do not think the 14mm hex would fit and I would recomend 12 mm as its becoming a uniform fitment amongst manufacturers. Certainly all are aiming for this to be standardised in the near future.

The front wheels are unique in their off-set as the wheel dishes inwards and are different to previous SRX4 type wheels

If you are local or see me, feel free to come and have a look...
ps - I don't get on here that often these days so excuse me for any late replies

Bugger. More expense.

Just looking for a new car to replace my DEX410 2010, as it's done a lot of miles and probably needs almost the cost of a new car in replacement parts. Starting with the chassis and working up!

410v5, XB4 '17 and this are front runners.

Really, really not local........ but thanks for the offer. Maybe you could send me one to look at

As far as my knowledge goes, for their updated buggy line-up Serpent switched to plastic caps as standard instead of aluminium, and X-rings included as standard instead of o-rings (at least on the 4WD, 2WD I have not checked). TiN coated shocks shafts, alu bottom/cartridge caps and machined pistons are still option parts.

I have done a race last weekend and only did one testday with it on a diferent track and surface .
Had the chance to have 3 times 3 min to set the car up a bit befor gething in to the qualifications .
Made the a final and came in 5 the overall .
Not that bad if u look at most of the drivers in the a did every race there this winter .
The car works apsolutely great . For the first time in a long time i could drive relax and the car did all i wanted .
What more can u want ???

Hi All,

Finally finished my SDX4 this afternoon after converting it to run saddles, parts supplied by Tony at Serpent UK.

It should have had it's first outing at Herts today but the boss-man threw a spanner in the works!

Can't wait to give it a run out soon though.

Apologies for the poor pictures

I've purchased the SDX4, perhaps I'll make a build thread, I have a nice camera, so I'll try to do the car justice.
