I run 42t pinion 104t spur 64dp on an open track in my Xray, there is no real straight but you could add EBT and bigger pinion if your track does

Its about 40 x 30m I could go taller on the pinion as motor only ever gets warm, I get good acceleration and reasonable top speed at that so don't tend to bother much, plus I use the same in 17.5t just with 40deg EBT

See what they run most clubs run 13.5 boosted and 17.5 blinky, I only run 13.5 blinky as my ESC needs a PC to swap profiles

I the class is for boost, then there is no comparison with Blinky, 13.5 boost is much much faster, and the gear ratio is very different as well.

Decide what class you are running in and ask at the track, you are sure to get a solid basic setup from someone.

In 13.5t boosted I ran 6-6.5 FDR for blinky 4-5 FDR
In 17.5t blinky 3.7 - 4.7, but all these depend on track layouts and motor temps after a few minute run
