Default Monday racing and new classes...

We are delighted to announce that the club will shortly be racing on Monday's as well as Fridays at the Village Hall in Bromham.

Although the format of Fridays will not be changing that much, the Monday meetings (2/3 times a month) will enable the club to race more classes.

Friday meetings will see us racing:
  • 1:10th Touring Car TC class
  • 1:10th Touring Car Street class
  • 1:12th Mardave Mini's

Monday meetings will see us racing:
  • 1:10th Touring Cars (both classes together)
  • 1:12th Classic Mardave's
  • 1:10th Formula 1
  • 1:10th Tamiya Mini's

Full details of the classes can now be viewed online here:

http://www.bedsrcmcc.co.uk/class-of-racing.php

If you have a Tamiya Mini, or a 1:10th scale F1 chassis then keep an eye out on our site and when we open the doors on our first Monday meeting we'd be very happy to see you race.

Please note that the rules pages and other pages have to be updated over the coming days, but for now you can see the classes at the link above

Just a quick reminder that our 1st Monday race meeting is on Monday 26 September. Pre-book here:

http://www.bedsrcmcc.co.uk/race-booking.php

Both Tim and myself have given our F1 cars a test run and we expect to see a couple more turn a wheel on Monday night, and don't forget those of you who are running Tamiya Mini's or Classic Bodyshell Mardaves

See you on Monday from 7.00pm

You know what they say... you have to start somewhere and if I think back to when we started the club a couple of years ago with just 7 cars, then our first Monday night with 6 cars was not that bad

However, for those of us who did turn up, it was a great evening. Just the kind of relaxed fun racing I'd always wanted to see from running on a Monday night.

We had 3 F1 cars on track and a mixture of Mini's. The F1 cars were fantastic, even if I say so myself and straight out of the box they were quick, even powered by a tin can motor!! Watching 3 cars go wheel to wheel was so much fun.

Let's hope that our next outing on a Monday night see's a few more of you turn up. If you can't make Friday's for our normal racing nights, then maybe Monday is the chance for you to have a bit of fun. Our next Monday meetings will be:

Monday 17 October 2011
Monday 24 October 2011
Monday 31 October 2011
Monday 21 November 2011
Monday 28 November 2011
Monday 19 December 2011

F1, Classic Mardave, Tamiya Mini's and TCs will be catered for. Check out the report and photos online later this week.

We hope to see more members join us for some great racing. We'll be running Tamiya Mini's, Mardaves with Classic bodyshells, the F1 cars and some Touring Cars will be hitting the carpet this week too.

Your all welcome to come along and enjoy a more relaxed evening of racing
