fast!!

Hi, im a total newbie to the rc car world so thought id start small. I went for a 1/18 himoto centro, brushless. Mainly because it looked indestructible in the reviews! First up I can not belive the speed of this thing!! Holy ...... so much fun. I live in York in the north of england and wondered if there is anywhere locally to run it rather than just an open field? Also can anyone with more experience offer any advice on upgades? Speed is fine, thinking more along the lines of stability and handling. Many thanks in advance guys and gals.
