Durango gearing

Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice/help please. I have recently bought a desc210 after a year with a Blitz. I am looking for a bit of advice with the pinion and gearbox gear size please? I am running a Trackstar 5.5turn 6069kv motor and a trackstar sc120 esc. What would be the best sizes to go for? I will be running on high grip astro.

Hi
on the std 87 spur gear you would need a 19 tooth pinion gear
but to be honest that seems a far too hot motor for a sc truck
normally that wind motor would be used in a 4wd buggy
with a 8.5 9.5 or 10.5 with boost\turbo it will still be fast but
smoother and more driveable

That's kind of what I've been thinking to be honest. The motor was sold to me as a short course motor but I've always struggled with it! Thanks for the help
