Yay, lets move to FB while we have Oople.

I like Oople, I don't get it while you even want to move to FB? All info on FB gets lost way too easy. The only plus is that you can do more smalltalk.

How's the weather where you are Skyaflake?

Seriously though, when I got my Bmax4iii I came into this group, selected the chassis thread, read it and was able to get an awesome set up and understanding before if even built the car. I'd speand a weekend trying to collate that much data from a Facebook page.

Fun idea but I would not encourage any migration from the forum.

I feel there is room for both (forum/FB)

I'm an Oople fan boy so don't want to take away from this great forum but for quick answers, set up help etc FB groups are helpful

Thanks to those who have joined up, we are at over 50 members in 1 day

So now you have to check BOTH resources for YZ2 and YZ4 discussions. Very useful. I checked (didn't join the group) some of the first messages on FB and they are just duplicates of what already has been posted (see YZ2 thread), e.g. : "Look, this is my YZ2" - "Oh, look, I also have a YZ2" and "Who's going to buy a YZ4". Same people, other platform. But more at a (low) Facebook level.

The only plus for me personally would be that guys like Lee and Shin join the group (if I remember correctly, Shin already joined) and they will discuss/speak/talk/write (whatever ) with others as they both (well, Lee was) are not active on Oople. But, if you are realistic, I guess they wont be involved that much on Facebook.

Sorry if this all sounds/looks offensive, it's not. I like a good initiative and this is something like that. However, at the moment I don't see the added value and I think Facebook isn't the correct platform for forum like content.

I'll see which way the wind blows.

Well you can't please everyone but see where you are coming from

It's early days but it would be good to get major players in Yokomo/team drivers involved

Some people like FB groups others like forums

I don't think it's a bad idea and I will join it shortly.

For what it's worth, whenever there is questions on here that I can't answer, I do communicate them to Lee/Tom/Shin etc and try to source an answer.

If you don't like it don't join it. Nobody is forcing you.

Looks like it'll end up a moaning match going by some people.

The only thing Yokomo I think are lacking is a forum like what X-ray have where you can get information direct for the cars from the team itself.
But oople and the fb forums are good I would like to see a forum for the cars on the Yokomo website.

Every time I've looked at the XRAY forum, it's either dead with no new posts, or its someone from XRAY denying there is a problem with something in a snooty way.

The Serpent FB group on the other hand is pretty good as Billy Easton answers a lot of questions people have.

If the Yokomo one works like that, then it'll be good.

All you could do is make the group closed/private so my mrs doesn't see how much time I spend on it.
