According to Gerd the car will come with two different battery braces, one for NiMh's and one for lipo's.

They have thought of things rather nicely

I know the car isn't out yet but do you think it will have similar handling characteristics to the aero ?

Considering it is the car that resembles the Aero most, well, err, yes, I would guess so.
Of course, with a different setup and some unique Dur... äh serpent features as well as with the LiPo option... just wait and see!

Comparing the Lazer ZX-5 with the SP version isn't easy, and they "only" swapped the suspension parts.

This car has the futuristic look like the 80's Tamiya Avante.
And I just hope people like Jimmy buy it so he can do a track test and
build of it for this site. I've read all Jimmy's builds, but I dont know
which is my favorite build. I just hope it isnt a failure like the Avante,
and thus being too ahead of it's time. But I doubt that.
I hope for the best in this car, even for Jimmy.

There will be some fantastic stuff coming from serpent over this next year S120,S500 and the 8th nitro buggy. I've always wanted a 12th scale car, and i think this one will be the one. It may turn into a shelf queen though as there's no were to race it near me

it looks and feels stunning, the rear pod is machined in one piece and is a work of art

So what is the latest date on the S500? or is there anything even remotely resembling a date? Never would have thought the CAT would have made it out first, but it sure appears it will.
