Default DEX 210v2 Pinion advice pls !

Hi All,

I am nearing the build completion on my 210v2 and after almost 25 yrs out it has been so much fun already.

My question is, which pinion should I be running? I have purchased a Trackstar 13.5T to start me off and I think the standard spur is 81T

Any help/advice appreciated please

I will be mostly running at Mendip

I think the rtr (13.5t) uses something like 29/81.
Which is pretty much on the limit of what the motor plate will allow. So you might be ok. But only with a 29. (Might be ok to 30, but not sure.)
Might be worth getting 2 or 3 pinions, so you can play with the ratio based on esc settings (boost, timing, turbo etc)

Hi
I always found this very handy when I ran the 210...the chart at the top gives 7 FDR for that motor, so on a 81 that works out at 30..but,as Matt mentions above you may not be able to squeeze that one in, so 29 or change spur to a 78

FWIW, I'd probably spend 10 minutes looking at that chart and get myself a couple or three pinions and the same of spurs (they are dead easy to swap) then you've got 8 or 9 slightly different ratios to play with.

Plus some spare parts if you strip a spur.
