Vega or Centro?
Hi
Does anyone have any views / opinions on the best conversion kit for a B4/B4.1? Vega or Centro? |

Centro it's a fantastic car.
I had the tamiya vega which is an amazing car, but if your just looking at a convertion for the b4 i think the centro is your best bet.

Vega or Centro?
Great! Thanks for that. I liked the look of the vega but could not find many reviews. It looks like most top racers are opting for the Centro, which is a good indicator!

Love my centro!!! Just wants you to push and push on track...it loves it
But I do have a lot of time for the Vega too...looks beautifully made. My only negative thought to the vega is the support...I don't have any personal experience of it from the Vega side, but there's a bigger team behind the centro...and more drivers running them, so more info and support around tackside. Both will be lovely...pick one and enjoy!

Any Gary
But at the moment I personally like the look of the tamiya But I own a kyosho vega lol The best 2wd I've ever owned. Just gorgeous to build and look at and very well behaved allways on track and effortlessy bangs in quick times You see in some conditions too much flex is just going to react slower Makes for a lazy car that feels consistent and quick to drive, but off pace ( we have all had one of those days) but the vega seems bang on... As Lee Martin is currently showing I've not driven a centro so can't comment on them I don't need to as I have a Vega lol

Vega but I would say that as just got a new Tamiya version, had a B4 version and this was good too!
The 201 and B4 are almost the same from a geometrey point of view so why not! I believe there is a Gen 2 B4 version coming but best check with Xtreme on that one. They are a lovely bit of kit and superb quality. |

Don't dwell on how many top racers drive which car, that's just a sponsorship deal. I got an rb5 vega last month, and it's simply the nicest car I've ever driven, it's so easy to drive fast. They are also increasing in popularity, not cheap when combined with kyosho bits, but they don't wear out and are very strong.

I have seen both cars run at the top in the right hands and seen people struggle with both as well.
At the end of the day both are equally capable and well made machines but you need to get the right set up (as with any car). Make the decision based on the support and set up info you can get for where you drive. James |
