Default FS2 spares

Looking at picking up some spare for the FS2.

Firstly, impressed that wishbones are bought as a 1 front and 1 back set!

Secondly, what advantage is there on buying the "carbon" shock towers over the non-carbon? There is a big price difference and I know on cars such as the B4, the regular plastic parts are preferred over the carbon plastic.

Thanks!

I have the 4mm carbon towers on mine, had a bad jump at the weekend and the front bulkhead went, the shocktower was fine. Given the choice I'd rather replace the towers so I might go back to the plastic. Apart from that I have to say that the car was mustard, my first race with it and I'm well impressed. Seems a lot more driveable than my Durango it let's me push my limited skills a bit further. Just would like a bit more steering (ES steering fix on the way)

I mean the plastic-carbon composite vs regular plastic.

e.g. Front Shock tower

Plastic-carbon = LA216H @ £13
Plastic = LA216 @ £6

The carbon shocktowers are more bling but the plastic ones are a better fit and are cheaper and easier to replace.

Glad you like the car

Set up was ok no?

Not wanting to hijack the thread but the car was brilliant. It has the big bores on it now.

all you need to carry is a couple of towers LA216 & LA217), a set of wishbones (LA272) and a set of front knuckles (LA254 i think). Might be worth carrying shock shafts and hinge pins as we all know about the car on the straight type crashes!

Car is very strong and low in wear.

For normal use make sure to carry.
Front shock tower. front and rear hubs, front knuckles.

If you are hard on your cars or drive a tough track then i sugget to add.

Shock Shafts, pivot pins, pivot pin holders, suspension pin bushes, Chassis, Top deck.

Well, not essential but after a while the plastic ones start to distort and become hard to get on and off. so use the kist ones till then then upgrade. LAW30 i think!!!

There have been many different offsets and widths in the past.

For FS Use

W5201 for front.
W5202 for Rear.
