Nice cheap brushless motor for Clubman racing
Hey everyone, I know I am not the only one that uses budget ribbed sensorless motors, in my experience even the 12 and 13 turn versions of these are very powerful!
As far as I knew these only came in 9, 10, 12 and 13 turn versions. However, today I spotted a 17T version in HobbyKing: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Brushless.html Seems nice for only 23 dollars Might be close to a 17.5T sensored... PS: I might get one for stock buggy |

Looks good, i've got one of their servos in my buggy and its excellent. Cost £20 but performs exactly the same as the Savox 1258

Cool, what model? My budget metal geared servo of choice is the Alturn AAS-752MG. £18 and 6.0V: 0.09sec / 60 deg. Got one in my Losi and Mardave. The beloved TL01 got the Savox treatment though It is my baby.
PS: Traxxas sits there servo less, motor less, bearing less... A sad sight indeed. Needs fixing before the summer. |

Good cheap brushless motor for clubman
I am pleased to announce that my crazy 12t motor is now dead
I've ordered a more sedate Leopard 13t in replacement from Hong Kong but it may take time to arrive. In the meantime I have also ordered this and should be with me by wednesday: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=43592 What do people think for clubman? I think it will be somewhere between silver and black can, but will find out this friday.

There's only one way to find out. Hoping it will be really good when we run a tight circuit.
That 12t was quick in my TA02, but in the TB02 it was mental and on pace with the touring cars

Gives u a rough idea of kv versus turns 13t at 3000kv versus tekin 13.5t at 3500kv and 17.5t at 2500kv. At a guess its prob close to a 14-15 turn

Let's hope your wheels stay on, otherwise the comparison will be flawed.

IMHO the 17t is good for clubman - not to different to silver can. On an open track It was at full throttle for a lot of the lap but will be greta for when a tight track is run. The 13t was much quicker - ran it for the final and managed to beat a touring car with an 8.5t by nearly a lap, although that could be down to the fact I was running foams
