At the Autosport we talked to the fire department about getting some buckets of sand. In the last three years they have lost three exhibition stands because laptop LiPos have gone up, taking the stand with them. I wouldn't say no one is concerned about it!
It's about energy density and performance. Our LiPos are built to maximise the energy density and charge/discharge capability. This stretches the manufacturing processes to their limits. LiPo, phone, tablets, etc. all have lower energy density for their size, and well as delivering much lower charge/discharge performance. The manufacturing processes cope well with these specifications.
