If you use the Losi ones they are a little bigger and won't damage the threads on the shock body as much. |

Thanks Jimmy,
First time I have used this ESC. Any suggestions on ESC settings for the Yoke (or for 4wd buggies in general) ? Also, the Yoke distributor in the USA, Butch, hooked me up with some stickers from his personal stock when I dropped by to buy some spares from him. Very nice guy - showed him your site and he was really impressed by your review of the BX. |

Your car looks good Morlock, like the paint job a lot.
Regarding the BX, I got some new parts from Japan yesterday, going to be fitting them to the car ahead of this weekends National. Had the following part numbers turn up: BX-008RG, BX-008FG, BX-300FBA, BX-414SG & BX-4131OG. Other than the front alloy brace the other parts are graphite upgrades for wishbones and steering arm/block. I’ll let you know how long it took me to break them on Monday, the jump for this weekend looks a lot of fun but might be the cause of a few breakages… we shall see! YEEHAAA bathy!! can't wait to see that gorgeous jewel of a car ping off the sides of the track like a pinball machine!!!
Morlock, on the keyence, not really off hand, I just love the adjustability of it and smoothness (or punch if you need it). |

Thanks Bathy,
I'll keep an eye out for those part numbers. Burt, the US distrib said they were getting some graphite arms etc. but he had not received them the day I stopped by. By the way, it was teh first time I had walked inside a distributor's warehouse. Its a small warehouse they have in Los Angeles, with Yokomo kits and parts stacked floor to ceiling. I felt like a kid in a candy store. THey still had 3 of the previous plastic mr4 4wd new in the box. He let me drive his Yoke drifter too in the car park and it was a blast. Upload pics of your car when you have the new parts in |

Hi Morlock, the graphite arms look very much the same as the plastic ones, just a kinda 'dusty shade' compared with the plastic ones.
Ran the car yesterday at our UK national series, (here come the excuses) I had some bad luck with wires de-soldering, turnbuckles popping off twice and it took me a few heats to get the car setup right (missed 2nd practise). Think I got it sorted pretty well in the end but this, added to my lack of race talent, meant I ended up in the bottom final on the day, doh! The graphite arms seem pretty tuff, I got stuck against some piping at one point and someone slammed into the back of me, their car broke mine carried on fine. Other than motor wire coming off, the only other problem I suffered from (twice) was a rear ball cup thingy popping off. I think one must be deformed or worn out a bit so I’ll replace it, didn't break any other parts all day so that was good. Oh I did lose a bit of blue alloy, one of my front spring retainers, in the final which was annoying, not sure when I lost it, but again that's my excuse for doing poorly. Did anyone find one and can I have it back please? |

Hi Morlock, I took some pictures of my BX at the weekend, it has the graphite parts fitted but as I said they look pretty much the same as the plastic ones.
